Quick Thought

Dad's office is literally right next door to my office.

So he just stopped over...

Dad: Was there a reason we weren't doing Christmas on Dec. 13th instead of the 14th?

Me: Yes. I didn't want to do it on my birthday.

Dad: And you were busy or something, right?

Me: Yes... And... I. didn't. want. to. do. it. on. my. birthday.

Seriously, is it too much to ask to NOT celebrate a holiday that normally occurs 12 days after my birthday ON my actual birthday? I already got screwed all those years with "birthday-slash-Christmas" gifts. Do I really need my 29th birthday to be even less special by having Dad's Christmas on the 13th?!

Sheesh.

Thats all.

Someone sent you a message on Facebook...‏

As you all know, I am a kidnapper on Facebook. I find it an amusing distraction. And believe it or not, I like clicking on the Travel Channel's cheat sheet to learn about a new place... Since I know I have kidnapped all of you who read this silly blog, you know what I mean. :)

So that's the background to what follows.

When I logged on this morning, I had this message waiting for me from one of my Facebook friends...

Subject: come on!!

"hahaha. you can't just walk out when i kidnap you. hahaha.
how are you doing? I hope that you are living 100% enjoyment of every day.
I am sorry for being an ass growing up. I was really happy when you asked me
to be your friend on facebook. All I do is work, go to school and coach track.
There is more about me, as like yourself, that is unknown. There is a lot of room
on the internet to take the time and talk to one another about the travels in life
that we have taken. I hope that we can share our travels with each other as we go.
I hope you have a great weekend!"

So that's an interesting little tidbit to go with my morning coffee. Thanks Facebook.
