Mmmmm. Ice Cream

I hate doing dishes. I hate it more than anything in the world, as you already know. Well, the thing is that I specifically hate washing silverware the most... It reminds me of having to polish silverware at my job(s). So, I feel like I am at work but not getting paid when I have to wash my own silverware. All the other dishes in the apartment could be clean and put away and I would still not want to do the silverware.

Point being: All my silverware is dirty, so I am eating my Snickers ice cream with a spork from Taco Bell.

UPDATE: I did it again the next night. I'm now running low on sporks. I may need to go to Taco Bell soon.

The Joys of Laughing Gas

Mmmmmmm. Tingly.

I went to the dentist today. Got some laughing gas. Wheeeeee. The drilling sucked, but the numbing of my toes was fun.

The worst part, I think, was hearing my dentist say "Now, if I could just get this tool to work right..." AND "yup, it's a Monday..." Come on, I don't want to hear that when you've got a drill in your hands and I'm all doped up!

But god bless the dental assistant lady with the water thingy! She's my favorite. ;)

My upper lip is still all numb and puffy. Do you think this is what it's like to get a Botox shot? I can't smile yet. Must be like Botox.

I'm just hoping that the swelling goes away before my job interview at 2:30...

Procrastinating

It's much more fun to do scrapbooking than it is to do my dishes.
It's much more fun to check my email and write on my blog than it is to do my dishes.
It's much more fun to do laundry at Mom's house than it is to do my dishes.
It's much more fun to spend hours listing Mom's dolls on Ebay than it is to do my dishes.
It's much more fun to clean my livingroom than it is to do my dishes.
It's much more fun to do just about anything else than it is to do my dishes.

Needless to say, I have to do my dishes today because I've already done most everything else this week to try to avoid washing them. The Dish Fairy has yet to show up and take care of things for me. Tigger and Chai haven't figured out how to wash them either. Guess that leaves me.

Maybe I should just stop eating, then there wont be any more dishes...

Moving on...

I put my application in at various restaurants in the area a couple months ago. I know people that work at one of the fine dining restaurants. That restaurant is now hiring for the summer. I have an interview with them on Saturday. "The sooner you can come in to interview, the better," the manager told me. "We are impressed with your experience and we've heard such good things about you."

Hooray! I am pretty sure that I'll have a new job. Shhhh. Don't tell the restaurant I'm at just yet.

So, should I stay at the glorified Dennys? Or should I get back into fine dining? Hmmmm. I think I will take the fine dining restaurant....

Spring Break Blues

What did you do on your spring break, Chrys?

Well, gosh, thanks for asking. Here's a brief explanation:

Monday: got more of Mom's dolls up on Ebay. Went to work from 5-9pm.
Tuesday: annual exam at planned parenthood. I'm anemic apparently. Went to work from 5-9pm.
Wednesday: Spent six and a half hours organizing and cleaning Mom's closet. Brought home more dolls to sell for her on Ebay. Cracked open a beer as soon as I walked in my door. Watched tv with Jason until bed time. Passed out cold as soon as my head hit the pillow.
Thursday: Worked as a hostess from 8:30am - 2:00pm. Wanted to take a nap, but the neighbors were playing with chainsaws and chopping up trees. Made dinner with Jason. Passed out after watching My Name is Earl and Teachers. Funny stuff.
Friday: Worked as a hostess from 8:30am-2:00pm. Came home and ate some lunch. Checked on the Ebay stuff. Went to the post office. Went back to work from 5pm-10pm. Going to pass out as soon as I lay down.
Saturday: Going to work from 7:30am-3:30pm. Going to (hopefully) take a nap when I get home and see Jason.
Sunday: Relax in the sun (work with me here, mother nature...), drink margaritas, and let Jason grill our dinner.

And that's Spring Break. Mine isn't very relaxing. Oh well. Monday it's back to subbing. I have a job lined up already and I'm scheduled to work at the restaurant at night too. Huh. I need a vacation.

Spring

I saw a robin today on the neighbor's rooftop. A big fat one that made Chai and Tigger meow and start twitching their tails. It must be Spring.

Now if someone could just tell Mother Nature to stop making it snow, that would be great.

(Insert that Jeopardy Song Here)

I'm waiting to hear more from the realtor about a house Jason and I were looking at last week. She's supposed to call today with more information. I keep staring at the clock... Any time now...

On a different note, bowling league is officially done. Thank goodness. Not that it wasn't fun at times. It just lasted forever! I don't recommend joining a league to anyone who isn't good at bowling. It loses it's appeal after the first month or so. Even with cute shoes.

It's nice to have my internet and cable back, too. I'm once again connected to the world! Woo Hoo!

I'm working on my resume today. I have about three basic resumes that I use. I'm working on the one for clerical jobs. I also have a teaching resume and a general resume. I'm hoping that someday one of these resumes will actually get me a job...

UPDATE: I didn't hear from the realtor today.
