Wierd...

It's starting to look wierd in my apartment. I have boxes labeled with all kinds of things like "DVDs" and "fragile - knick-knacks." My entertainment center has been stripped of it's videos and cds. My bedroom walls are bare again except for some nails in the wall. There are boxes of garage sale stuff, things to move, and so much more all over the place. I am content with the knowledge that it will not be clean again until I move out. If only the dishes fairy would show up before then...

We are closing on the house in about two hours... I stopped by the insurance office to get the policy on my engagement ring started. It's a small office in EGR with five people working there. I met them all today and saw Kim again - I used to see her all the time when I worked at Firehouse. She gave me a hug, admired the ring, and asked all the usual questions - when is the wedding, where am I working now, etc. She promised to come in to Blue Water sometime. Everyone there was really nice and it made me very happy that these nice people will be the ones that we were working with the whole time and will be working with for years to come.

I think we totally lucked out with our realtor, mortgage gal, and insurance agency. Or maybe it's fate. Either way, everyone has been awesome and I 100% recommend them all to anyone and everyone!

On a side note - they're all women! We didn't plan that either - it just happened. Chics rule!!!

Tonight, after we close on the house, we are going to take a bottle of wine out to our new house and just enjoy the fact that it is ours. Not too much though, mind you, since there's no bed yet... ;)

Tigger LOVES Lindsey

Tigger has spent today wondering where Lindesy is. He likes it when she pets him and rubs his belly and cuddles. He would purr all day long if he could just hang out with Lindsey all the time. He can't wait till she gets out of work so he can sit on her lap again and sleep on the futon next to her again tonight.

I'm not sure who is spoiled more by this: Tigger or Lindsey?!

Is is Spring or Summer?

I love my new job. It's fast paced. It's good money. It's great customers. It has this huge outdoor seating area for people to sit and overlook a lake while they dine. The only problem with this - it has been humid as all hell for the past couple weeks. Hot. and Humid. Of course, people love to sit outside. Why not? They get to drink icy cold refreshing beverages. They get to wear shorts, tank tops, sun dresses. They get to sit in the shade and relax and look at the lake. Me, on the otherhand, I get to wear long black pants and a long sleeved shirt that is about 4 sizes too big for me because they were out of smaller sizes during orientation and are switching to the summer uniform soon so they won't be ordering any more of the long sleeved shirts. I get to run around in that outfit while bringing those icy cold refreshing beverages to the nice cool guests. Needless to say, it's hot. Summer officially begins June 21st. But, damn, if this isn't summer in Michigan already!
