Happiest Day Stress
So, they say your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of your life... Sure is a lot of stress for such a happy day.
I'm going to check out a shop today in a local town to see what they've got for wedding supplies. Then I may head about 30 minutes in the opposite direction to check out a flower shop. Tomorrow we're going to try to find Cara a maid-of-honor dress and she and Lindsey will see my wedding dress. (Woo Hoo!!!)
I've got the photographer for our wedding ceremony. A girl I work with also works for a local photographer and is willing to beat the price I had gotten quoted by someone else. She doesn't think she will be able to do the family photos at the reception though, so I have a lead on someone that is a retired photographer that might be able to do the family pics.
I have a lead on an officiant to perform the ceremony for a LOT cheaper than the other people I've found. Another girl I work with knows someone who does weddings on the side. She doesn't have his last name or his phone number yet, but she can get it. Apparently his name is Reverand Charles Preston Something-or-Other. Sounds fancy enough. ;)
I have a caterer, I think. He hasn't emailed me back in a couple of months, but it's the holidays, so I suppose it's okay. I will try again after Valentines Day. If he flakes out, it looks like the taco bar from Branns is it! (Just kidding. Don't get your hopes up.)
I have my cake guy. As long as he is in the state and stays out of jail... I'm cashing in on a long ago promise to do the cake as my wedding present.
Cara's wonderful boyfriend is willing to do our ceremony music! Hooray! I might just pay him in KitKats. ;)
It's all coming together. Sort of. I don't have a contract with anyone right now except for the reception location.
There are 194 days left until our wedding. That seems like a lot, doesn't it? It's not.
We still need to find a place to do invitations for a low price. And flowers. And how to do music at the reception. And linens for the tables. And decorations. And probably a bunch of other stuff that I don't remember right now because it's 8 o'clock in the morning.
It better be the happiest day of my life. Maybe it'll be the happiest because I will be done planning everything!
