Wedding Blahs

The countdown is on... Five months and a day to go...

I can't get ahold of my cake baker. I've left him two messages in the past two weeks to call me and let me know what he's up to.

I've sent email twice to my caterer who also has not responded. I need to set up a meeting with them to discuss things like the menu and price and maybe sign a contract.

We don't have a DJ for the reception yet.

We don't have a photographer for family portraits for our reception day.

We have a photographer, but again, no contract. I work with her and she works for a big photography company, but is doing the pictures on the side for a very reasonable price. The only bad thing is that, honestly, I don't really like her all that much... But she takes good pictures. Is it bad to know you don't personally like your photographer?

We haven't picked out our invitataions yet.

Jason doesn't really want to talk about our wedding most of the time. He always says, "I haven't really thought about it" when I ask him what he wants to do for stuff. Of course he hasn't thought about it. That's because I'm doing all of the planning for it. If I left it to him, we'd be hanging out at the park with a keg of beer and maybe some pretzels or chips. It'd be a great keg party.

My advice to everyone from now on... Just elope. Or marry someone rich who will pay for the wedding and then you can have everything that you want and you can hire someone to do all the planning for you!
