Flowers & Showers

Today I planted seeds to grow a "hummingbird and butterfly" garden. I had hoped that little hummingbirds and butterflies would grow right up out of the ground while I watered, but no.

Okay so I just planted a bunch of wildflower seeds for the kinds of flowers that they like. As I spent 45 minutes just watering the seeds (waiting for Sparkle to appear), I saw quite a few butterflies in the flowers that are in the woods right behind my new flower garden! I was feeling pretty good about my new garden when a little hummingbird came up to see what was going on. It had been buzzing around in the woods too and came over to see me. It darted through the mist of the water a couple times and then sat on a little branch and ruffled its feathers. Then it did it twice more! He took a little shower while I was watering the seeds. It was so cute! Needless to say, I feel that it was mother nature's way of saying thanks for planting a hummingbird and butterfly garden. :)
