The FurBuster <- This is probably the coolest pet gadget I've gotten in a long time!
I just recently learned about the FURminator - saw an add in a magazine and Richelle mentioned it when she was here. I was intrigued...
So I went to PetCo and found it. Score! But right next to it, they had the FurBuster on sale for $25 instead of the $40 that the FURminator cost. And the PetCo lady said they use the FurBuster in their grooming area. The FurBuster came with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Okay, I'll give it a try... Bonus - it's pink. I was betting my pets would hate it....
Nope. Tigger laid down and purred the whole time. He probably laid there for a good 5-10 minutes before he decided to get frisky and try to bit the thing. So I went after Chai next.
OMG - Chai rolled onto her back so I could do her belly!
Holy Crap. The thing works and the cats purr. Tigger even came back for seconds.
I had a big pile of fur when they were done. Jason, of course, said "gross. Put that fur in a bag."
And then he handed me a paper grocery bag to dispose of the fur.
I'm very pleased with my purchase and I highly recommend the FurBuster for long haired shedding cats.

So is it like a fancy brush, or does it actually cut their fur? I like Mew being a long hair because she's so cute like that! I just don't like having big globs of fur everywhere...
it's actually like a fine tooth comb. it gets rid of the undercoat of winter fur that the cats usually shed. don't worry - my cats are still very furry! it just got rid of the fur that they are going to be shedding anyway. Tigger was really soft afterwards too! :)
holy CRAP! I just used the furminator on Mew and practically brushed off a whole cat!
