Home Again, Home Again, Jiggidy Jog

I was going to write about how we're back from vacation and that we had a great time. We watched the sunset every night and spent about 8 hours reading on the beach on Sunday. Jason even started reading a Vampire-Sex-Novel by everyone's favorite author! He asked which one he would like. I gave him Succubus Blues and promised a steamy sex scene early on. Sure enough, Richelle Mead hooked him up. I believe he said something about "no wonder Jay is dating her..." but I don't think he meant anything by it. ;)

So, that's what I was
going to write about. Instead you (and by "you" I really mean Lindsey and Richelle since they're the ones who read my blog) get this:

Flashbacks to childhood have me googling the saying "Home Again, Home Again, Jiggidy
Jog."

Three guesses where it's from...

Yup. Mother Goose strikes again.

To market, to market, to buy a fat pig,
Home again, home again, dancing a jig;
To market, to market, to buy a fat hog;
Home again, home again, jiggety-jog;
To market, to market, to buy a plum bun,
Home again, home again, market is done.

She had a lot of rhymes, that Mother Goose.

Hi Lindsey!

Lindsey told me today I need to update my blog. She says she reads it. So I suppose I'll write something for her to read...

I'll be sad to see Lindsey move away. But I'll be happy that she is finally able to experience some of the fun things in life! Of course, cute shoes and outfits are included in those fun things - it's time for her to start being a GIRL! Yay! :)

Not much else to report these days. Jason and I are going up north for his birthday - spending the weekend at Pentwater. Before you say "awww! how romantic!" let me explain. We'll be staying in his parents' RV at the campground. And his sister, her husband and her three daughters will be in the RV right next door. If we're really lucky her 20 year old son will bring up his illegitimate son and "fiance."

But we will still be at the beach for four nights straight and we'll stay on our side of the lot lines and hopefully get to spend some quality time laying in the sun and reading books. And there's nothing quite like the sunsets on Lake Michigan. We'll watch those every night too!

Work is going well for me. I got a 5% raise last week after being with the company about seven & a half months. They think I'm awesome. :) Yay!

That's pretty much it here.

How's that, Lindsey? :)
